Dear kinky canines!
Thank you all so, so much for your patience and support as we get these packages shipped out. Getting all the patches to us in their final form took way longer than we expected, and we were thrilled when we finally received them all. Dagger has been hard at work doing shipping and logistics all on her own!
For transparency, the simple reason they've taken so long to ship out is that Dagger is just one person (working multiple jobs) who's never done this before, and we really underestimated how much labor goes into packing 65+ individual orders across four different countries! So far, this good dog has:
- individually wrapped over 375 patches, each one with a mini bio card, for safe travel
- packed orders for 65 customers by hand using all reused/reclaimed mailers
- weighed, printed, and hand-cut labels for every package
- shipped all USA packages
- picked up customs forms from USPS for international customers
The last steps are:
- carefully fill out customs forms for the final 8 packages
- print labels off at a print center
- send them off!

We have them all!
As you know, our original shipment of patches came in with errors in several designs — some with minor defects like loose stitches, others with whole areas of the patch in the incorrect colors. (In the image above, you can see the correct light blue colorway on the left, compared to the incorrect turquoise colorway on the right.)
Most of these were fixed quickly, but a few required some detailed back-and-forth with the manufacturer. (I'm still not sure exactly why this process took so long — it seems like they had some worker turnover during this process and our conversations got dropped.) We're excited to say we finally received the last of the needed patches, and orders are being packed for shipment!
Why didn't we send them earlier? A majority of orders included one (or several) of the patches that took longest to fix, and since our manufacturer originally told us we'd have the replacements within a week or two, we wanted to wait and send them all at once. If we'd realized how long it would take, we would have split the shipments. This was our first time doing a campaign, and we're learning this all on the fly. Thanks for your patience!
What to expect now:
If your address has changed and you have NOT already done so, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Kinky Canines Address Change" and we'll get you sorted. Aside from that, you can kick back and wait for your package! We plan to get everything shipped within the next week, and arrival times should be within a week after that.

Patches & bios on their way to us!

We just received the first boxes of mini bios and postcards from our printer, and it looks like the patches themselves will be delivered to us this week. Once we receive everything, we'll be checking all items for quality control and packaging them up to ship to you.
We're SO excited to get our hands on these goodies! We hope you love them as much as we do.

Hi, kinky canines! Thank you all so much for getting your surveys filled out. All our orders and totals are set, and we're in the process of getting digital proofs of each patch from our manufacturer before we approve the final versions. We're ordering a total of almost 500 patches!

Good news: BackerKit surveys are going out today!
We ran into some timing issues between slower-than-expected turnaround from Kickstarter and BackerKit, logistical weirdness with BackerKit's setup (thank you to the customer service folks who helped us out!), and Dagger being away on a camping trip. Now we have all our ducks in a row, and you should receive your survey via email sometime today.
Don't forget to check your spam folder!
All backers will have ONE WEEK to complete their surveys — we need them submitted by Monday, July 1. After that, we'll start getting proofs from our manufacturer and assembling everyone's mini bios.
